a so-so weekend

yesterday, i worked 12 hour night shift (from 7pm-7am, walang tulugan!) and you know what, after 4yrs working in the hospital, this is the only time i got really pissed off! i was doing my usual round as a float assistant..the person that assigned me to this job asked if i could go to medicine ward, emergency and also in psyche ward...i asked her if i could just get the number of the psyche ward kasi it will take me at least 20-30mins to go back and forth just to tell the constant attendant that she will be going for her break at 12:15am or 5am...so she gave me the number and i called...here's our conversation...

me: Hi, this is elleine and i will be the one relieving your constant attendant, may i speak to her pls?

nurse: okay

constant attendant: hi, you're relieving me?

me: yeah, you can take your break at 12:15am or 5am because im the only one giving breaks in general hospital and it will take me at least 20-30 to go there...i can't give you break between those times because they were taken already and there is one code blue right now so i have to stay here in general hospital just in case they need me...

constant attendant: i dont like those breaks! and i want to split my break instead of the full 70mins! (angry tone)

me: well, im not sure about that...i have to check with the supervisor if that's possible...that's already 40mins walk if i have to go there twice...by the time im done with all breaks, its already 630 and that means i dont get a break! ill get back to you, i need to talk to the supervisor (inis tone)

constant attendant: what's your name?

me: (bat tatanong nya? susumbong nya ako? dont think i did something wrong!) its elleine

constant attendant: (didn't say anything, just hang up the phone)

so, i called the supervisor and told her about it...she said that the constant attendant can't pick which break she wants since im the only giving breaks ...after the supervisor and i talked, the supervisor called me again and informed me that i dont need to go there...

so there, i didn't give her a break and the supervisor went there to explain why...when i saw the supervisor, she told me who it was...i was not surprised when she told me the name...ive heard from my colleagues that this lady is a trouble and she complains a lot...two of my colleagues said not to say anything because she's pana...dito kasi wala ka kalaban laban sa kanila kasi sila pa rin daw may-ari ng canada...it didn't scare me when i heard that...in my mind i said "i know what happened and if she file a complaint on me, so be it...im not scared because i didn't do anything wrong"...i just hope fair ang mga taga-grievance department...hayy, its hard when you're in different country, rami kontrabida...=(

on a lighter note, our dream house is almost done...hubby took a picture of it yesterday...we had it repainted since they applied the wrong color 2months ago...i told hubby that i didn't like the orange color because its too bright and in our contract, we specifically asked for old rose...hubby called the office and demanded that the color be change because his wifey is not happy with it...hihihi...
